Board Certification - Commercial Real Estate Law

Arthur W. Zeitler has been Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law since 1995.

An attorney who is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Real Estate Law must have experience in the law covering land and improvements and their use, acquisition, transfer, development and financing. The attorney must also be knowledgeable in statutory and case law and governmental regulations concerning real estate and its use.

To become Board Certified in Real Estate Law, an attorney must have:

  • Been licensed to practice law for at least five years;

  • Devoted a required percentage of practice to real estate law for at least three years;

  • Handled a wide variety of real estate law matters to demonstrate experience and involvement;

  • Attended real estate law continuing education seminars regularly to keep legal training up to date;

  • Been evaluated by fellow lawyers and judges;

  • Passed a day-long written examination.
